    Description

    Antique maritime bronze chock (1800's)
    A rare offer!
    This piece was actually recovered by the seller who discovered the shipwreck while sport diving
    The wreck provided several items among which was the original ships builder plate stating that the vessel was built by the Staten Island shipbuilding Company of Port Richmond, New York.  This business relocated from Port Richmond to Staten Island in the late 1800's.
    Bronze ships chock:
    Weight - 23 lbs
    (Shipping weight will be slightly higher, otherwise, the weight shifting during shipment would probably destroy the container)
    Oval O.D. - 12" tall x 13.25" length
    Ring diameter [diamond shaped, refer to images] 2" x 2.25" (+/- 1/8")
    The wreck was located in very turbulent waters with high currents and dangerous marine life but, in under 30 feet of depth. It is very unlikely it has been found by others because this is not a location a
    "sane"
    recreational diver would explore.
    (The wreck was not identified on any nautical charts reviewed by the seller when the wreck was found or since.
    The wreck is located in U.S. waters and the location will be provided to the purchaser
    )
